Since his emergence in 2003, Netherlands born producer Fedde Le Grand has remained a prominent fixture in electronic music. Catapulted into stardom in 2006, Fedde Le Grand released the worldwide hit and progressive house anthem “Put Your Hands Up 4 Detroit,” which quickly hit number one on the United Kingdom’s Top 40 charts and spent an impressive five weeks on Spain’s dance charts. This success has also earned him a coveted spot on DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs poll ever since 2009, where he has remained within their top 30 producers accompanied by talent such as Armin Van Buren, David Guetta, and Hardwell.
Le Grand also serves as co-founder of the record label Flamingo Records alongside fellow Dutch producer Funkerman, where the two have released chart-topping singles such as Ida Coor’s “Let Me Think About It” and “Speed Up” by Funkerman. If he weren’t already busy enough, Le Grand also hosts “Dark Light Sessions,” a weekly session that streams live via satellite radio. Fedde Le Grand’s contributions to music have helped to bring artists such as Nicky Romero and Danny Avila into the mainstream, often featuring them in his mixes. From playing Pacha in Ibiza to this year’s Ultra Music Festival, Le Grand has attained a massive following, celebrating over one million fans via Facebook in 2013. His performance at The Mid is one that is not to be missed, you can check out the footage from his last visit here.
