With well over fifty releases to his name, Swedish DJ and producer John Dahlback is a legendary talent. Starting his career back in 2002, the name Dahlback has quickly become synonymous with house music. Working in a wide range of musical genres from tech house to progressive, John Dahlback wears many different musical aliases. Whether he is performing as Hugg, Huggotron, or his latest moniker Kaliber, Dahlback’s dedication to music and intricate understanding of sound remains.
First gaining attention with hit singles such as “Pyramid” and “Blink,” Dahlback became a regular fixture on BBC Radio, recording his first Essential Mix for Pete Tong in 2008. His debut album in 2010 Mutants was released by several all-star electronic music labels such as Dim Mak, Big Beat and Ultra Records. Dahlback also serves as the founder for not one but two record labels, Pickadoll Records and Mutants Records. Through these platforms he has released not only his own work, but has helped to build the career of other artists such as Sebastian Ingrosso and Sebastian Leger. Dahlback also hosts a weekly broadcast show through Mutants Records, which reaches audiences in over 25 stations around the world. It is clear talent runs in the family, as John Dahlback frequently collaborates with cousin Jesper, working together under several aliases such as “Hugg & Pepp.”
