Over the last six years, perhaps the most anticipated end-of-summer event is Chicago’s North Coast Music Festival, attracting an audience from all over the country. Taking place on September 1 to September 3, this year’s NCMF looks to be the best yet. In addition to this year’s extensive three-day lineup, we are excited to announce our Aftershow Lineup at The Mid!
Friday: Eric Prydz
Perhaps the most consistently relevant and innovative DJ, Eric Prydz sure knows how to capture the audience. With North America’s largest hologram, his use of this massive 3D luminescent box that visual engineers manipulate truly sets him apart at live shows, “Every show is unique. Doing it that way, there’s a lot of problems that can happen. It’s not pressing play.” says Prydz in an interview with Spin. The 41-year-old truly maintained his spot in EDM as his music compels you to dance, whether it be at a club, music festival, or car. We’re so pumped for him to bless The Mid!
If bringing and introducing your mom on stage at Tomorrowland 2017 isn’t the cutest thing, we don’t know what is! “This is one of my favorite people in the whole world and I’m proud to call her my mom!” he said onstage “I wanted to share this special moment with this really special woman who gave me everything in the world, who taught me everything I know! You ready to do this mom? This one’s for dad!” Besides his humbling character, his eclectic musical style and vocal production ranked him 15th in the Top 100 DJs by DJ Magazine. We can’t wait to see what he’s prepared for The MID!
As Gary Richards, also known as Destructo, recently announced his departure with 10 years of hosting HARD events in lieu of new projects. Destructo performed a very heartfelt performance, accrediting Giorgio Moroder as “The King of Electronic Music, the Originator” prior to beginning his set with Donna Summer’s ‘Last Dance’. We surely won’t give him his last dance at The MID!
