The MID To Host Spooktacular Freaky Deaky Aftershows!

October 25, 2016

With Halloween weekend right around the corner, Freaky Deaky‘s official lineup of official aftershows has finally been revealed . . . and they’re a seriously incredible bunch. From Thursday, October 27 to Sunday, October 30, festival attendees and fans alike will get the chance to catch some of their favorite acts at the MID, one of the most festive and intimate settings offered in Chicago.

Kicking off the festivities on Thursday will be none other than bass music legend Feed Me! The project’s newest creation, Family Reunion, comes as a welcome return for John Gooch after his last EP upload in 2015. As he describes it, it marks the beginning of another chapter in his journey. Filled to the brim with epic, melody-centered bass bangers, his sound is something you won’t want to miss when he touches down at the MID. Grab your tickets to his show now at

On Friday, the fun continues with an exclusive DJ set from UK brothers Disclosure and Chicago house mainstay Gene Farris! The multiple Grammy Award-nominated duo released their sophomore album, Caracal, earlier this year, coming as an epic evolution of the deep house sound that jumpstarted their hold over the scene. 2016 has proven to be a strong year for Gene Farris as well, who saw two #1 releases on Traxsource as well as an album steadily in the works. Advanced tickets are sold out but a very limited amount of tickets will be available at the door. Tables are are also available for purchase at

DJ Snake will be following his main stage performance on Saturday with a more personal evening of powerful bass heaters and driving house rhythms. Coming off of his debut studio album, Encore, released in August of this year, the French producer is also heavily rumored to be a part of the masked DJ project Malaa. His inclusion on such massive hits as Major Lazer’s “Lean On” and his own “You Know You Like It” has cemented his place as one of the most influential dance music creators of the era. Rounding out the Freaky Deaky weekend on Sunday, Hot Creations founders Jamie Jones and Lee Foss will take to the stage for an unprecedented B2B set. Beginning the year with his self acclaimed Illicit Behaviour EP, Jamie Jones most recently released a follow-up collection, Land of the Giants, coming as a dark and piercing alternative to the tech house spectrum.
